Hopefully your banking software will be written to that same standard of excellence, and it will deduct your next deposit. Sure it should be "normal" for a program to be advertised as doing one thing while instead doing another. Interesting replies - especially the last one from Mr.

So, what is the answer? I've attached the log files from both Goon and Ratatouille, and would appreciate any help that anyone could offer as to how I can create backup DVDs that are free of structural copy protection.Īh Yes, these responses demonstrate the value of this Forum! In every case, the end product DVD backup still has structural copy protection.

OK, so I tried copying the original Ratatouille disc again, this time to files and folders, and then used ImgBurn to write the DVD-r media - still got structural copy protection! I even took the COPY that had structural protection and ran it back through AnyDVD/CloneDVD2 to produce files and folders again to see if that made a difference, and no, it didn't. Then I read a post that made it seem like any idiot (the poster was less than polite) would know that to eliminate structural copy protection from the finished DVD that you must copy to folders first, then use ImgBurn or Nero to write the files from folders on the hard disk to the DVD-R media. I have tried backing Ratatouille up to an ISO, then using ImgBurn to write it to DVD-R media, with the resulting disc having structural copy protection. While the issue is true on any DVD that employs structural copy protection, the attached log files are from a new one "Goon" and an older one "Ratatouille." I'm just now copying Goon, but I have copied Ratatouille many times while trying the directions from other posts, yet structural copy protection persists in the backup DVDs for Ratatouille. And yes, I know that it can still play that way, but the point is that I (and evidently a lot of others) believe that the combination of AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 should poduce a backup that is free of any copy protection.

I realize that there have been a few posts on this subject, but I've tried everything mentioned in the posts and I'm still getting structural copy protection moving over to the copied DVD backup.
